The role

This is a great opportunity to build a successful career in Software Engineering, solving complex engineering problems on a variety of development projects. We’re looking for people who are passionate about technology and want to expand their horizons in an exciting and fast-moving industry.

As a Software Engineer within Luxinar’s Technology and Innovation R&D team, you will be responsible for the development for embedded and desktop applications, working in our growing team of software and electronics engineers. You will be a creative and analytical problem solver used to challenges in both design and development.

You will be tasked with delivering customer and business solutions through a combination of product development, enhancements and improvements. You will also provide support and technical assistance to all areas of the business regarding software-related issues.

What you’ll need to bring

  • Preferably a minimum of 2 years’ experience in software engineering, ideally within a related environment
  • Degree qualified in an engineering, electronics, or a computer science-based subject
  • Excellent software engineering skills, with a solid foundation in C and/or C++
  • Experience with Python, Rust and Javascript is also desirable
  • Hands on experience of lab-based diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Experience of the following development environments
  • Embedded : ARM-based controllers, PIC, AVR and Arduino
  • Desktop :  Windows and Linux
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
